Who We Are

The Commercial Drone Alliance (CDA) is an independent 501(c)(6) non-profit organization founded in 2016 by industry experts Lisa Ellman and Gretchen West. Led by key figures in the commercial drone sector, the CDA partners with federal agencies and industry leaders to enhance U.S. global leadership in advanced aviation. Our goal is to bridge the gap between industry and government by combining safety and security policies with cutting-edge innovation. We address policy challenges, promote the economic and humanitarian benefits of commercial drones, and advocate for their safe and responsible use. Additionally, we focus on expanding the advanced aviation marketplace and resolving drone security issues.
